Vegas Builds, a Northern California firm specializing in Healthcare including Laboratory Architecture, Project & Construction Management and Equipment Planning & Procurement, is currently looking for a Full-time Architectural Job Captain with 3 to 7 years of architectural experience to join our growing team at our San Francisco and Oakland offices.

The applicant would have the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative project team on technically challenging projects ranging in sizes / scales / complexity, from initial conception to construction phase.

As an integral team member, the candidate will work under the direct supervision of a licensed architect. This Architectural Job Captain role will encompass the following:

Work to ensure high quality of design /detailing through Schematic Design, Construction Documents and Construction Administration phases in collaboration with senior staffs
Coordinate architectural design and/or models with consultants
Understand and document compliance with applicable codes and regulations
Act as in-house project coordinator and support all team members
Participate in technical discussions with contractor, consultants, project teams, and clients
Observe project construction and reporting on construction document compliance
The ideal applicant would have the following qualifications:

Bachelor or Master’s degree from an accredited Architecture program, currently pursuing licensure
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Revit and AutoCAD proficiency
General computer literary (Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite)
Self-motivated, passionate team player with a sense of humor, aspiring to become an architect
Familiarity with California Building Standard Codes
OSHPD experience is a plus
