Pacific Design Architecture
Description & Details
Pacific Design Architecture is looking to hire an intermediate architect to join our firm. We're a small but well-established architectural firm situated in Downtown Oakland (one block from BART) specializing in healthcare projects but also doing office tenant improvements and occasional residential work.
We're looking for an architectural designer or recently licensed architect with an interest in and a talent for the technical side of architecture as much as design.
Typically we’re working on several smaller projects concurrently so the candidate should be comfortable collaborating on multiple projects simultaneously in the course of a day. The candidate also need to be efficient & organized in their work, have strong written and verbal communications skills, maintain a high level of thoroughness, and adept at resolving problems when they arise.
The position is a great opportunity for professional growth through day to day exposure to the full breadth of tasks and responsibilities required of an architect from schematic design to final punch including client contact.
Our office is casual yet professional and we’ve been able to maintain a work/life balance despite the growing work load. Projects are done in AutoCAD so proficiency in the program is required along with basic MS Office software. Revit experience would be desirable but not necessary.
We offer full-time employees vacation/sick time benefits and paid holidays, full medical, dental and vision coverage and a competitive base pay including bonus opportunities. If you’re looking to join a dynamic, energized, innovative and collaborative environment, where your ideas will be heard and your skills challenged, send your cover letter and resume for consideration.
We look forward to hearing from you!

- Efficient & organized in their work, have strong written and verbal communications skills, maintain a high level of thoroughness, and be willing to resolve problems when they arise.
