As a designer in our San Francisco office, you’ll be working on projects that span architecture, industrial design, communications, and experience design. As part of our multidisciplinary design team, you will work directly with Principals and Directors, developing projects within the San Francisco studio and across our global locations.

You will coordinate the work of project teams and consultants, and interface with vendors, developers, and manufacturers. In addition, you must be able to develop and evaluate both standard and innovative design solutions, confirm usability and code compliance at multiple project scales and levels of detail, and make recommendations to Principals and Directors. You will be responsible for contributions to design presentations and implementation documents, and gauging the progress of the project schedule.


5 - 7 years of combined experience in architectural, industrial, communications, and/or experience design
Strong knowledge of human-centric design principles
Strong visual design skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Rhino, and Cinema 4D a plus
Experience working on projects combining digital and physical experiences
Knowledgeable in wide range of manufacturing processes, prototyping, and general construction and engineering principles
Solid understanding of brand strategy development and retail experience design
Exposure to multidisciplinary design projects


Conceptualize the creative look and feel of projects, including spatial and physical mediums
Collaborate with architects, developers, and fellow designers to take a project from initial idea to final output
Develop the design rationale and explain visual choices to cross-functional teams
Push creativity, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of approaching and solving problems
Accomplish and maintain the quality of design through all phases of a project
Participate in or lead design review meetings with ID, engineering, marketing, and other staff.
Lead or contribute to product and field research efforts
Be flexible in design and able to take direction, feedback and observations with a positive attitude
Be able to work and coordinate across departments and disciplines to produce the best response to creative briefs


Strong conceptual thinking showcasing innovative concepts and creative design solutions
Ability to produce cutting edge creative and exceptional design work
Ability to explain creative approach and present creative work
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experienced production drawing and development phases of projects
Understanding of construction and manufacturing processes
Strong technical skills and attention to detail
Ability to adapt to new and complex situations
Ability to be ‘hands on’ in producing mockups and prototypes
Design curious – must be passionate, observant and self-motivated
