Come join us and help solve San Francisco’s housing crisis! We’re a small growing firm working on a variety of projects, with a focus on new typologies of urban housing. From time to time we also work on restaurant interiors, residential remodels, temporary urban projects, and research documents. We’re looking for someone who is ready to manage a few small projects, and to be an important part of a small team on larger ones.

Because of our fast-paced small office environment, all of our staff get a chance to work on little bit of everything from schematic design through to selecting finishes and doing construction administration. This job could be a good change of pace if you’ve been working on one project for three years.

Applicants should be intellectually curious, willing to take on responsibility, and ready to ask questions.

Job Responsibilities:

Production and coordination of design and construction documents using Revit.

Doing code analysis on renovation projects in existing buildings.

Day to day project management using the telephone, spreadsheets, Asana and other digital tools.

Construction administration, both in the field and in the office.


5 years (minimum) working in an architecture office or similar environment.

You must have experience with preparing construction documents for residential Type III or Type V projects and be able to show samples of this work.

Proficiency in Revit.

An accredited undergraduate Architecture degree, or an M.Arch is required

Strong written and verbal communications skills are required

Professional level of diligence, and evidence that you understand the value of double-checking, proofreading, asking questions, and otherwise paying attention to the job at hand.

Must be self-directed and able to manage multiple small projects at once.

An architectural license not required, but candidates are expected to have made substantial progress towards licensure and be familiar with the California Building Code.

One-page cover letter. Please include a brief written statement (approximately 200 words) explaining why you are interested in practicing architecture and working here.

One-page resume outlining your education and work experience, and listing related skills

Portfolio sample (approximately 5 pages)  of work for which you have primary authorship. Please include a variety of work product that represents your experience effectively, including construction drawings. We would expect this email document would be a small sample of your work and you would be able to show us a larger portfolio if we interview you.
