Job Captains at Hornberger and Worstell play an extremely important role in the successful design and execution of our projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate as part of a collaborative team in development of the project design and documentation
Work directly with senior design and technical staff to develop project documentation for both design and construction submittals
Coordinate with engineering and consultant teams
Provide leadership and guidance for junior staff and interns
Participate in construction administration
Work together with office Production Director and BIM manager on the following items:
Maintenance of office wide Revit assets including libraries and templates
Management, review, and audit of exiting ongoing Revit projects at regular intervals for compliance with office standards, level of development, and proper modeling/documentation practices
Project and office REVIT troubleshooting
Mentorship and education of office staff on the latest techniques in REVIT
A professional degree in architecture or interior design
3-8 years of experience in an architecture or interior design firm
Professional Licensure or demonstrated progress towards licensure
LEED AP or demonstrated progress towards accreditation
Ability to contribute as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary project team on both design and construction documentation. Experience working on complex commercial projects is a preferred.
Strong verbal, graphic and design skills
Legal authorization to work in the US with fluent English skills
Proficiency and/or experience in Revit is a must with “Autodesk Certified Professional for Revit” credential mandatory. Experience in AutoCAD and presentation graphics software such as Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
