Principal Michael David Berzak, RA is involved with all office projects, yet each is run by a team led by a project architect with the appropriate experience. This includes a comprehensive working knowledge of all local Administrative Code and Zoning Resolution issues that bear on the project, ensuring initial designs can safely and quickly move forward into development phases. The structure of the firm also allows and encourages internal peer review of projects throughout the documentation phases.
Small midtown office seeking an entry level Junior Architect with strong 3D rendering skills to work on a diverse range of projects including, residential, commercial, and hospitality.
Professional Architecture degree from a NAAB accredited school (B.Arch minimum)
2 – 3 years professional experience in US
Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software such as Rhino/V-Ray/Maxwell, Photoshop and InDesign
Strong knowledge of AutoCad; knowledge of MicroStation is desirable
Familiarity w/ construction document detailing and materials
Self-motivated, energetic, able to work on multiple projects independently and within a team and able to manage time effectively
Knowledge of NYC Building Code, Energy Code and Zoning regulations a plus
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required
Field survey and input into CAD existing site conditions
Assist in the development of Construction Documents
Preparation of Schematic Drawings based on Client's program
Creation of 3D models and renderings within site context for presentations
Research and specification of products and finish materials
Coordination with design team including external consultants
Salary is based on skill level and experience. A benefits package is also offered.
