GRADE is a multidisciplinary architecture and interior design studio specializing in high-end residential, retail, and hospitality projects. We are seeking a talented, self motivated and organized candidate for a design and management position.
Jr. Project Manager:
Acts as the leader to the project team to manage the development and delivery of various projects in coordination with the Studio Directors on small to moderate size projects, and supports the development and delivery of projects under the supervision of a Project Manager on larger projects. Delegates and coordinates project tasks among support staff and consultants.
Project-related responsibilities include: performance drafting and presentation work, developing conceptual sketches into design presentations, coordinating materials and color palettes for presentations, developing sketch details into construction documents and assembling detail sheets, preparing construction documents, processing construction documents through plan check and developing project schedules and budgets.
Administrative responsibilities include: maintaining logs and records necessary to manage the projects; composing transmittals and other correspondence; prioritizing, delegating and coordinating tasks with project teams’ members; researching public agency requirements and preparing site analysis documents; preparing and coordinating cost estimate budgets as required per project phase; and assisting in maintaining fiscal responsibility for each project.
At least 5 years of experience, preferably in luxury residential and retail design
Bachelor of Architecture degree at minimum
Excellent AutoCAD drafting and 3D rendering skills (Sketch-up or Rhino)
Proficiency with graphics software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and office software (Word, Excel, Acrobat)
Experience with construction documentation, site supervision, and client contact
Basic knowledge of New York City Building Code
Strong communication and organizational skills
