Joel Sanders Architect
JSA is seeking an architectural designer to assist with a publication and website that documents Stalled!, a design research project dedicated to the creation of inclusive public restrooms that meet the needs of people of different ages, genders, religions and disabilities. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded designer skilled in research, design and representation, with a passion for applying these skills to timely social justice issues. He/she/they will work closely with Principal Joel Sanders to conduct research, refine design prototypes and create diagrams, drawings, and renderings that will be posted on an open-source Stalled! website and exhibited at various venues in USA and Europe in the summer/fall 2018.
Initially, the position will be limited to the duration of this 3-4 month project. However, it might be extended to a longer-term or become permanent if the project allows.
Skills & Requirements:
Professional degree (B. Arch or M. Arch for an accredited US university)
Familiarity in 2D and 3D software (AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Rhinoceros) required
1-3 years’ professional experience a plus
Familiarity with 360 rendering, and video production and web-site development a plus
Prior US work authorization – visas will not be sponsored.
