We are seeking an architectural designer with strong design instincts. Our firm is ideal for a self-starter who seeks to learn more about all project phases. Candidates must have prior work experience in an architectural office; New York City experience is a plus. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
The ideal candidate should have the following skills:
A strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to self-critique.
A desire to learn the project development process.
Strong organizational, listening, communication, and design skills.
The ability to communicate concepts and designs in both presentation graphics and technical drawings.
The ability to reference building codes and preform research independently.
The candidate will be expected to:
Assist in creating filing sets and construction documents.
Develop schematic design layouts and concepts, along with FF&E selections.
Assist the project managers throughout all project phases, including client presentation documents.
Manage project documents and adhere to office standards.
Absorb new information on a fast-paced basis and manage tasks for multiple projects.
Keep an organized record of project hours worked.
Understand of the roles and responsibilities of the project participants (Architect, Project Managers, Consulting Engineers, Client, General Contractor, Municipal Expeditor…)
The candidate must:
Have a Bachelor or Masters of Architecture degree.
Be fluent in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, & Adobe Acrobat.
Be knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite, & 3D Modeling programs and rendering, such as SketchUp, Revit, and Rhino.
Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
