Seeking a current student for the spring semester with the possibility of an expanded role through-out the summer. This position is part-time and ideal for a self-starter who seeks to learn more about Architecture and project phases.
The ideal candidate should have the following skills:
An understanding and yearning to learn the project development process.
Have strong organizational, communication, and design skills.
An understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the project participants (Architect, Project Managers, Consulting Engineers, Client, General Contractor, Municipal Expeditor…)
The ability to reference building codes.
The candidate will be expected to:
Assist in creating filing and construction documents.
Assist the project managers throughout all project phases.
Ability to manage project documents and adhere to office standards.
Ability to absorb new information on a fast paced basis.
Keep an organized record of project hours worked.
The candidate must:
Be in the process of obtaining an accredited architecture or Interior Design degree.
Fluent in AutoCAD.
Fluent in Microsoft Office & Adobe Acrobat.
Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite.
3D Model and Rendering skills, such as SketchUp or Rhino.
