BERMELLO AJAMIL & PARTNERS (B&A) is seeking to hire a mid-level architect with 6 to 8 years of experience for its New York City office. Duties include participating in all phases of design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Ideally this candidate would possess strong interior design skills to augment his/her architectural skills. This would be a full-time position.


Responsible for overall project design, design review, and project scheduling
Prepare project graphic presentations and present them to clients.
Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations.
Prepare project specifications
Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions.
Prepare construction documents.
Organize and maintain project record information and drawings.
Coordinate with clients, project consultants, and engineers.

Ability to complete architectural assignments with little supervision.
Ability to supervise, coordinate, plan, create and organize work plans and review the work of entire project team
Thorough understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts with ability to develop design element components
Self-motivated to meet deadlines and improve processes and deliverables
Excellent communication skills required
Ability to work closely and cohesively with other departments and disciplines to ensure successful project completion

6 - 8 Years of architectural/interior design experience
Must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture; Master’s Degree a plus
LEED Accreditation a plus
Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit , Sketch-up
Advanced level competency in Microsoft Office Suite
