The Role

At Mancini Duffy, talent and community intersect to create a dynamic and vibrant architectural practice. Headquartered in New York City, our firm is 100 years old, but has the heart, energy and vision of a start-up. And we are growing geometrically! We are searching for a Project Architect with 5 to 15 years of experience to join our team. 


Lead or assist with:

Development of the client program to confirm or create alternative design solutions.
Review design solutions for building code and systems compliance.
Floorplan verification and coordination.
Engineering consultant coordination.
Researching and detailing of building systems.
Preparation and organization of Construction Documents.
Review contract documents for clarity, scope and completeness.
Construction Administration.

The Skills

Bachelor of Architecture or Master’s in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Architecture License a plus, but not required.
5 to 15 years of relevant experience as a Project Architect or Technical Coordinator.
Knowledge of building and zoning codes, standards and building structures.
Experience in the preparation of drawings and specifications; as well as construction administration.
Demonstrated design sensitivity and technical excellence.
Extensive field experience a plus but not required.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
Ability to direct and coordinate the efforts of consultants in all disciplines including structural, MEP, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, as well as current/prospective clients.
Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with other 3D software, rendering software and Adobe Design Suite a plus.
