Job Duties

Provide leadership to contributing designers on project(s) and monitor project design.
Guide the design team in the translation of complex designs into clear, concise details and construction documents. 
Work with the office wide resources and specialists to coordinate and assemble detailed and well thought out drawing packages from Conceptual through Construction Document stages. 
Lead the review of the progress of the design work of consultant, engineers and other architectural personnel to ensure the drawings and specifications are properly coordinated.  
Assist in the coordination of a project’s design with specifications, details and schedules.  
Perform field observations of new construction, reconstruction, alteration, maintenance, and repair projects.
Carry out and oversee shop drawing review.
Coordinate and prepare project correspondence.
Work both in the office and in job site environments (primarily in New York City).
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
Skills + Experience

Experience in administration of the construction process.
Strong time management and conflict resolution abilities.
Proficiency in reviewing and coordinating drawings and submittals.
Strong proficiency in Revit to produce architectural drawing sets. 
Practical knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques and building and zoning codes. 
Sensitivity for working in an advanced design environment.
Facility with Construction Administration Software (AEConnects or Newforma).
6+ years of experience performing architectural design services preferred; 3 years minimum experience performing construction administration services.

Completion of five-year architectural undergraduate professional degree or an architectural master’s degree.
