New York, NY
Ryan Salvatore Design, LLC
Young, energetic and growing architecture firm seeks enthusiastic and hard-working architectural designer to manage residential architecture projects. As a young firm, we are completely open to new approaches; there is nothing dogmatic about the firm's work, creating a terrific opportunity for the exploration of original design ideas and professional design growth.
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in architecture and must have a minimum of four years work experience at an architecture firm. This is not an entry-level position.
The principal duty will be to serve as a project manager on one or more of our residential projects. As such, candidates should demonstrate in their application materials (a) appropriate work experience and (b) some degree of initiative as a self-starter. Day-to-day tasks will include developing conceptual designs, preparing, assisting with and attending client presentations, designing construction details and managing the preparation of construction documents among internal staff and external consultants, and managing client interactions. Applicants should be familiar with conventions of drawing and representation, with construction detailing and assemblies, and methods of both traditional and modern detailing.
Applicants must be proficient with AutoCAD, Rhino, and the Adobe Creative Suite; experience or proficiency with Revit is preferred but is not a prerequisite. It is imperative that applicants can write and speak English clearly and succinctly.
Competitive compensation with health benefits, holidays, and 15 days paid time off per year.
The job is open to all candidates who demonstrate a commitment to innovative thinking and hard work, and who will be fun to work with. Candidates who are interested in exposure to all parts of design and practice will find the job particularly rewarding, and there is enormous opportunity for growth.
