An ideal candidate should have a professional degree in architecture, and should previous solid work experience at a design-intensive firm. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is willing to take on responsibility and grow with our design team. The candidate must share in our commitment to design excellence.

We offer an unique opportunity for the right candidate to be an integral part of the design process from programming, conceptual studies, model making, preparation in client presentations, schematic design, technical design, resolving design details, learning to make construction documentation with precision, field experience during construction administration.
An ideal candidate should possess the following skills and traits:
Creative prowess (an innate desire to explore different designs and approaches)
Thoughtful, clear design communication (verbally, graphically)
Ability to work well with others
Flexible, open attitude towards new ways of working and thinking.
Min. 6-7 years of solid work experience.
Excellent organization and communication skills
Software fluency (AutoCAD, 3D Max, Rhino (V-Ray and Adobe Suite)
Ability to make physical models
Experience with Los Angeles custom residential and commercial projects and permitting process is a plus, but not essential
Candidates will be required to undertake work in all phases of a design project from concept to construction documentation and administration.
Concept/Schematic Design responsibilities include, but is not limited to the following tasks Plan and Site Studies, building massing and material studies, elevation and sectional studies, precedent research, in house rendering and model studies as well as client presentation renderings and models.
Design Development/Construction Document responsibilities include, but is not limited to the following tasks: Plan and reflected Ceiling Plan work, dimensioning, noting and schedules, sectional and construction details, picking up redlining work, study models and renderings, material research and information gathering, interior and exterior elevations, interior details, millwork and metalwork details, building envelope details.
Construction Administration: Shop drawing reviews, issuing addendum sketches/details, job site visits, job site documentation/photography, interfacing with contractors and subcontractors, maintaining project files and documentation.
General Office responsibilities include, but is not limited to the following: assist in generating promotional firm information as required via text, photos, illustrations and documents, answer office phones, attend inter office meetings, assist in general office CAD standards and general office organization as required, assist in project management needs (filing, letters, notices as req’d), assist in maintaining and organizing general office visual databank and file documentation.
