We are seeking Senior Architects with a minimum of 7+ years of experience working for a major international architecture firm. West coast experience, particularly on completed technology office campuses and/or large-scale cultural projects, is highly preferred. The Senior Architect positions will be based in MAD’s Los Angeles office. Our current projects include cultural, offices, hospitality, and mixed-use developments in North America, Europe, and China. The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator, be confident in managing between clients and MAD’s global teams, and be experienced in execution phases, especially in DD and CD.
Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
Licensed Architect with minimum 7+ years of progressively responsible project experience working for a major international architecture firm.
Have experience on completed technology office campuses and/or large-scale cultural projects, from SD to completion.
Have expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Maxwell, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Be a strong leader, able to direct and coach design teams well to ensure the design quality, scheduling, and budget are executed from concept to completion. Able to supervise junior architects’ performance and deliver proper guidance for their career path and learning curve within the MAD office.
Be legally authorized to work in the US.
Work closely with clients, executive architects and consultants to preserve MAD design intent through DD, CD, CA.
Produce drawings and models while supervising and managing all other production from the design team.
Communicate work details in every step of construction, including detailed documentation phases and extensive materials knowledge.
Balance a fast-paced work environment and execute obstacles and tight deadlines with a positive attitude. The candidate should be highly reliable, outgoing, a strong communicator, and able to prioritize and multi-task as required.
Strong communicator that has project management experience and could communicate with clients and other partners. Has general oversight and management on several projects that he/she is overseeing.
Salary is competitive and based on experience/skill level. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
