studioSIX5, an Austin-based interior architectural design firm specializing in senior living communities, is looking for a contract Revit Family Designer. Summary: sS5 Revit Family Designer will work closely with the CAD/BIM Manager to develop a library of standard families for sS5.  It is important to ensure families fit our needs, are parametric, and are easy to use. This position has a high level of responsibility for providing accurate and efficient models. The Revit Family Designer ensures families conform to all sS5 modeling standards. Measures of Success:
Develop all required families in a timely manner.
Families contain multiple parameters.
Families are easy to use with minimal explanation.
Families can be used on all sS5 Revit projects.
Recreates existing sS5 standard Revit families.
Generates additional required families.
Ensures that new families conform with sS5 modeling standards.
Provides input to improve existing families.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Extensive technical knowledge of building systems, specifications and construction methods.
Extensive technical knowledge in Revit family creation.
Demonstrates ability to work independently, and with CAD/BIM Manager.
Strong written and oral communication skills. 
Ability to be proactive and maintain a positive attitude with a resourceful approach.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow a task to completion.

Experience / Education:
Three to five (3-5) years of experience with Revit.
Experience developing custom Revit families from sketches.
Experience in senior living, hospitality, multi-family, or healthcare design is preferred.

Minimum of an Associates of Applied Science in Architectural Specialization or related field. Bachelor’s Architectural Degree and/or Interior Architectural Degree preferred.
